Seria Lioana. Empty
PostSubject: Seria Lioana.   Seria Lioana. I_icon_minitimeMon Oct 27, 2008 6:36 am

Seria was bought up in a settlement called Yuthgalaunt, located between Ordulin and Yhaunn in the country of Sembia. Known as a considerably wealthy country, and of high prosperity.

Seria was a bit of a mischievious child from around the age of 5. Often seeking attention, taking almost extreme measures to claim such. This would go as far as smashing the odd picture frame, to completely trashing the house. Her mother Fiona, had enough of her almost barbaric child, not really having the patience to deal with her. Seria has no father that she knows of, though only in recent years has she come to understand this. Life was hard for Fiona, back to when Seria was a child. Her bills for hiring babysitters to watch over Seria during the day were increasing as she began getting more desperate for her house to remain in the tidy state that it should be left in. This, clearly obvious that Fiona was more concerned about the house, rather than Seria. Seria could pretty much look after herself, considering her young age.

During the day, Fiona would be out on the stalls, selling and buying unwanted clothing. Fiona was able to make dresses as well as casual clothing, which she spent most of her nights doing so. Her sources for materials were beginning to demand more gold too, as more and more merchants were starting to set up. Soon enough, the quality of Fionas work began to lack. Old clothing that she had bought from nobles wern't selling off at all, really.

One night, Fiona came home from another dissapointing day out on the market. Her current babysitter approached her, almost demanding to be payed. Fiona let out a heavy sigh, reaching for a pouch from her deep pockets. The babysitter, reluctantly throwing the palm of her hand over the pouch. Fiona had originally offered the babysitter the sum of fifty gold coins, though she had only counted thirty. The babysitter stirred in a rage as she questioned Fiona, claiming she was some sort of a scammer. Many would say twenty gold isn't all that much to fuss about, but to the babysitter, it seemed that it was.

In a desperate attempt to get the babysitter out of the house, Fiona gave her an extra fourty gold and watched as the babysitter slammed the front door shut behind her. Seria was currently hiding behind a pillar. Fiona made way for her bedroom, with her slamming the door shut just as the babysitter did. Seria began to run riot around the living room. Throwing pictures, cushions, ornaments half way across the room. After a moment, the sound of sobbing reached into Serias ears, as she came to a sudden halt. Her eyes widened at the sound, as she made way for the bedroom door. She pinned her right ear against the frame of the door, the sobbing got louder, and Fiona was soon enough, crying. Seria then peered through the key hole, and soon felt the emotion of hurt as her eye watched her mother in tears.

Seria was quick to enter the bedroom, running straight for Fiona. She latched her arms around her waste line in an attempted hug. Seria looked up to her, questioningly. The only sign of reply to Serias silence, was the drippings of her tears as tiny damp globes trickled down her fair cheeks, landing into her lap. The only thing that could be heared was the constant heaving as Fiona occasionally lost her breath after quick outbursts of her continuous crying. For the first time in her childhood, Seria knew she had done wrong. The only way she knew of appologising, was to keep her attempted hug locked on to her. Soon enough, they had both dropped off to sleep.

The next morning came. Seria woke up to the sound of bird song on a fine summers day. Finding herself alone in her mothers bedroom. Seria could only assume that Fiona had left for work, at a rather early hour too as she began searching the house for her. Seria reached closer to the door of their latrine. A thick pool of the darkest red, was smothered along the floorboards, and flowed under the door frame. Seria reached up for the door handle, before a sudden hand clasped on Serias shoulder, dragging her away from the door. Seria kicked and screamed, the person of whom the hand belonged to still unknown to her as her eyes layed fixed upon the door still. Seria was pulled outside the house, as she found out it was the neighbour pulling her away.

"Seria, you must stay outside this house, please... under no circumstances, must you renter, do I make myself clear?" The neighbour turned to his wife, "Darling, please, take care of her, I'm going to inform the guards again, just to make sure they're on their way!" And so the neighbours wife took Seria in her arms, parenting her as soft tears ran down her rosey, bubble cheeks. Hit with a sudden shock and slight confusion, Seria could only look back at her house. Unknown of what had happened, she had pretty much convinced herself that she wasn't ever going to find out.

Thirteen years had passed by, Seria had no intention of asking what had happened all them years ago. The memory of her hurried withdrawal from the latrine door by the neighbour still playing on her mind. She continued living with them. The days shortened, the nights seemed an eternity as the cold winds cursed the lands with the very frost they cast upon them. Winter had arrived. Her neighbours had taught Seria how to be a proper lady, taking lessons in manners and the like. Though she had grown up with a best friend named Rufus. A sort of roughian, though always tried his best to charm. An amusing character, accompanied by a bad taste of clothing, Seria had no room of bother for the way he dressed. While Seria was with Rufus, he taught her a few lessons in being swift in movement, and how to walk with the shadows, without a trace.

After thinking long and hard on her future, and the plans she had in mind, Serias acting parents allowed her to become her own person. Giving her the chance to set her own sails in the world that they only knew of. It meant that she had to be willing to let go of her closest friend, Rufus. Rufus understood the path she wanted to take, and had nothing against her for wanting to do what she will. Rufus knew he could only remain in Yuthgalaunt. On her travels, though, she still held the rumours that soon spread about her, carrying the jest title of "The Child who killed her Mother." Though, such rumours were untrue, with her not knowing the full story still, it was quite understandable for shallow minds to come to such stomach twisting conclusions.
