The "One Step Rule"
===================

The one step rule is a guideline for suitable alignments for followers of a given deity. The rule is that one part of your alignment (the law/chaos or good/evil part) can be 1 step from your patron deity's. Ex: Lathander's (NG) clerics could be NG, LG, CG or N (true neutral).

Deities and Race
=================

Please note that, while it is uncommon for a race to choose a deity outside of it's pantheon, you are not restricted to only those deities in your PCs racial pantheon and may choose another from other pantheons.

Deities and Faith based classes
===============================

The following requirements are mandatory for all faith based classes. Should you fail to meet any of these rules you will be unable to pass through the Launch Portal and into the game world proper.

**Please note that choosing one of these classes while in the game world may prevent you from passing the Launch Portal after then next server restart/reset. A Deity Tool has been provided to all PCs and can be used to verify if you are eligible for these classes and any other pertinent information. It is STRONGLY recommended that you make use of the Deity Tool before choosing the first level in any of these classes as DMs are under no obligation to 'fix' your PC should you ignore these rules and invalidate your PC.

Clerics
-------

Clerics must choose a valid deity, meet the one step alignment rule for that deity and have selected domains as dictated by said deity.

Paladins
--------

Paladins must choose a valid paladin deity and be Lawful Good.

Human: Azuth, Chauntea, Helm, Ilmater, Kelemvor, Lathander, Milil, Mystra, Nobanion, Red Knight, Siamorphe, Sune, Torm, Tyr
Dwarven: Berronar Truesilver, Moradin

Halfling: Arvoreen, Cyrrollalee, Urogalan, Yondalla

Druids
------

Druids must choose a valid druidic deity, fit the one step alignment rule and meet the druid neutrality requirement.

Additionally, druids are prohibitted from wearing any metal armor, tower shields, and any weapon not included in the druid weapon proficiency group. These restriction apply REGARDLESS of any other classes or abilities that would normally allow them to use them. Failure to abide by these restrictions may result in ineligibility for a Token of Distinction or loss of the token, or other penalties as seen fit by a DM.

Human: Chauntea, Eldath, Gwaeron Windstrom, Lurue, Malar, Mielikki, Nobanion, Shialla, Silvanus, Talos, Ubtao, Ulutiu, Umberlee

Monks
-----

Monks do not have to choose a deity, but those who do not follow the following listed deities will be assumed to be of the Old Order or the Long Death.

Human: Azuth, Bane, Deneir, Grumbar, Ilmater, Kossuth, Lathander, Loviatar, Oghma, Selune, Shar, Sune, Tiamat, Velsharoon
Hafling: Arvoreen, Cyrrollalee, Sheela Peryroyl, Urogalan, Yondalla
Half-Orc: Luthic, Yurtrus

If you choose no deity then you will be of the Long Death or Old Order.
