Ok well now after playing DD over the years i remember countless times when people have fallen to some kind of monster within your Party and in need of a RES, and so sitting here after talking about the bash locks topic i decided there was something i would like to be considerd for the server. This request is for the reasons i think it could add that little bit more too the RP of someone falling. Anyways heres my idea;

If someone dies i would think it would be cool to be able to move there corpse / carry it. I know alot of times people have RPed being able to carry the corpse back to the good old temple and from there having them raised, so what i thought would be cool is a way to add that bit more RP realism too it. A good way to show what i mean is the Mountain Giant Cave quest. On finding the dead person in the cell, you are able to pick up the bodie with a Huge add too your inventory wieght carrying and than taking her back too the guy at the inn, therefore for some people adding alot more RP at the time to them, for example if you get over wieghed down, you must either take it really slow or just not carry her because its too heavy for your Char. I think it would be cool if we were able to move people who have fallen in the same way. I know this is done on alot of servers and seems to work rather well.

You are able to pick up the corpse and move it about or dropping it wherever you wish, for example moving it to a safer position to peform a raise spell or to put them in a safer position while you go get help becuase you are unable to manage the wieght all the way back to the temple.

The person who dies is sent to the Fugue plane where they must make a choice depeding on the situation. They can wait in hope that someone will raise / find there body and aid them. Or they can respawn at the cost of a penalty.

Also ive seen that when you carry the bodie back too a temple, you are than able to ask the priest to bring them back to life (at a cost if wanted or not) which is genrally how the RP goes.

I think also too add that further penalties should be added too the person carrying it, for example a penalty too attack rolls.

Its just a suggestion i thought i would put forward, feel free to debate about it and i will answer any questions if needed too Smile

I think this sounds like a good idea, personally. Just my two cents, but too often in a party someone may die, and be forced to respawn. Even though their party members (LIke Roslyn carrying Brianna back last night from the drow), have rped carrying them all the way back to town, and to the temple to be cared for. If not, it's alright because the server is a blast. But I think we might benefit from this addition. Also, blade, are you a scripter then? Because Snottling doesn't know how to add storage to the company's house, and if you could help that would be amazing. Thank you everyone for letting me put in my opinion.

Yeah, this would be a nice addition to an already great server. I recall fondly on another server I play on when my druid was able to find her close friends and bring each of their bodies back to the temple(one at a time I might add), thereby sparing them a good chunk of exp and gold loss. I think that this would be a really good idea to have in effect.

Forget the storage for now, Cerri. If blade can tell Snot where to find the loot scripts and adjust them...now -there's- a worthwhile add. Wink

Shouldn't be too hard to find. Try checking the container's variables, scripts and script include files. That should do it.

About the corpse system, that one's a complicated, but good system. Will have to take things like logging when dead into account, that's when it gets complicated.

dont worry i can pretty much handel all that, as for handling loot i can also handle that if snottling wishes for me too.
