Draccan Darkmoore
Draccan is a ladies’ man, always has been, always will be. In his upper teens he worked as a delivery boy for the Huntsilvers, a Royal House of Suzail, Cormyr. Always a quick learner, he learned the talk and mannerisms of the nobility. He grew up to be a dark haired, handsome man, sporting a well-groomed moustache, tall and slim, with broad shoulders.
He also learned that he had a way with women, as the Lady of the House was charmed by the young man’s natural charms, earning plenty of gold for extra “favours“ when the Master of the house wasn‘t home. Thus began Draccan’s long gigolo career. During his time as a gigolo, he was usually found at the Old Dwarf Inn, where the nobility often went for a good time, or when he wanted to relax, in the more seedy part of town, in the Laughing Lass Tavern. Draccan lived in the lap of luxury, always seen with women, either noble, or noble wannabes.
Draccan took a keen interest in the art of rapier fencing, and eventually he won the respected title of Duellist. However, the nobleman who lost the finale to Draccan was a vengeful man, and he was also the husband of one of Draccan’s many mistresses. Soon after the Duellist competition, several attempts were made on Draccan’s life. Only with the help of his rapier and, perhaps, Lady Luck did he escape with his life.
Since then, Draccan believes that Tymora has got an eye on him, and he lives by the motto “to dare is half won”.
He loves to shoot dice, always saying a prayer to Lady Luck. He is also fond of works of art, and storytelling by the fireside.
In the end, Draccan had to abandon the life he loved so much. It simply was too dangerous to continue on, as more and more spouses became aware of him. He was more or less forced to leave Suzail for Arabel. Even there, he did not feel safe, so he took a job as a caravan guard and eventually ended up in Dagger Falls.
Nowadays, Draccan has accepted that he is staying in this small backwater hole of a town. He realizes that he needs to lay low for a good while. He still misses the city life and the people of the Old Dwarf and the Laughing Lass, although he is making new friends in Dagger Falls. He can usually be found at Hesta’s library, soaking up all the lore he can.
