Valikarra X'shar.

History

Valikarra was known by a different name in the first stages of her life. Her birth name being, Valrona, she was born to a “perfect” couple. Her mother went by the name Nicha, and her father being Mason. They found each other being a perfect couple since they met at a church of Lliira in Cormyr; fell in love but never really got around to marriage.

Nicha was just eighteen years of age, when she gave birth to Valrona. Mason was around twenty-four. As Valrona passed through her childhood, her parents brought her up to follow the way of Lliira, Lady of Joy. They all lived as a typical happy family. Leading normal lives, enjoying feasts, parties and outings around the city of Suzail in which they lived. They praised the Mistress of Revels, for such wonderfully lead lives.

Nicha once heard of relatives that lived near The Great Dale. She arranged for a very long trip to take place, mainly as a holiday away from Cormyr. Though, it ended up being a holiday in hell for what was in store for the small “family.”

It took only a week for the three of them to lose their way. They ended up in lands unknown to them… though, where they were heading was also unknown to them, too. They certainly didn’t arrive near The Great Dale.

Wherever they were, they stumbled upon a misty graveyard fog. Two figures standing in the distance, at the cracked, stone door of a mausoleum, centred at a field of graves. Assuming these black clad folk being gravediggers, the three approached. An eerie feeling struck the family the closer they reached. Spines were about shivering, and weary eyes began trembling with doubt. The very aura of the two mysterious figures becoming more cold and vile each step that they took.

A Sacrifice, For Life.

Valrona, eleven years of age at the time and her only instincts were to rush ahead. She tugged hesitantly, though, at the robes of one of the folk. The rough material felt uncomfortable to say the least. A hooded head turned to look down at Valrona, and in one swift action, a blade was plunged into her stomach. She dropped to her knees, eyes wider than they had ever been. The cruel figure, ripped the blade back out of her stomach, throwing her body over his shoulder as the pair made a run down the steps of the mausoleum.

With one scream, vibrating through the air, her parents made a quick dash after them. After a ten minute chase, they found themselves looking down from a steep stairwell at the two hooded figures. They questioned their actions as Nicha attempted to lash out at one them. Though, her forearm was caught. Mason seemed calmer than Nicha, but that didn’t mean to say that he wasn’t feeling his heart in his mouth as the dead body of Valrona lay flat out across the floor. Nicha begged, and begged to have her revived. In the end, the two hooded figures gave two choices. The first being that they performed a ritual known as Binding of the Crypt if Mason, Nicha, and Valrona bowed down, respected and followed in the name of Velsharoon.

The second choice, to simply put it, she remains dead with her parents joining her. Of course, with taking the first choice, they could easily “pretend” to be followers of Velsharoon and walk happily ever after into the light. Hearts were pounding still, and without a thought, they accepted to go through with the ritual.

The ritual of bringing her back to life was undergone. Velrona felt life inside of her once again. Her blood began warmed up and her heart began to pound heavily. Lying in the wake of confusion, she brought herself to her feet in a rather clumsy state. Something had changed about her. Her eyes seemed darker, even in the bright flickers of torches. She was instantly held by a powerful spell as the two clerics of Velsharoon explained what’s to be asked of her from that moment forth.

Valrona understood and acknowledged that she is to follow their ways, though once the spell worn out, Nicha and Mason tried motioning to her to run away with them, and out of the mausoleum. The hooded figures turned back, then gave Valrona a blade and somewhat commanded her to stick them both. She took the blade, walking past the two figures, she passed on a wink to Mason and Nicha, as if saying “Don’t worry, I’ll run once I’m within reaching distance.” Unexpectedly, though… she stuck the blade right through the gut of Nicha. Nicha gave Valrona one last stare. The love she once had for mother, had suddenly all but gone. Mason looked to Valrona, fear blazing in his eyes. He gave a quick backhand across Valrona’s face, with Nicha falling to her knees. Valrona seemed quick to get up to her feet again, a sort of cold chuckle is released from the depths of her lungs, and with that, she stuck the blade into Mason.

A cold, spine-chilling voice almost echoed through the hallways as one of the hooded figures spoke; “What is your name, child?” She replied, “Valrona.” The figures look to each other, and with a quick nod, they’re gazes shift slowly back to Valrona, she was now known from that moment forth as, Valikarra… mainly to hide any history or past dealings her real birth name carried with her. She followed the cloaked strangers out into the night.

Description

Standing in at around five-foot-seven, and weighing in at just one hundred twenty-eight pounds, pools of dark obsidian hued eyes, are at the center of attention, when first looked upon. Constantly dashing back and forth as if she's examining for any hostile actions. Whether it be a dirty look, or a blade at the ready.

Her hair hangs down loose over each side of her head, and down the back. The sides, curling around her pale cheeks. Although the strands of thick charcoal hair seem rather dull in the light... when night time hits the sundials, it somewhat shines almost glamourosly, reflecting the bright beams that the moon sends forth onto the lands.

A burnt, velvet mixture of oils and waxes bring a shine to her lips. A constant finger pursing them together, contemplating her surroundings. Whilst a finger isn't pursing her soft, delicate lips... one corner of her mouth is often seen curling up into, almost, a mischievious smirk.

Valikarra may have a creepy look about her with her pale skin, but she does seem to be quite attractive. Though she has been known to hate people who show too much affection. Her business here in these lands are yet to be known, even to herself. Though, that doesn't stop her from finding out. Her story, is yet to begin.
